Continued from yesterday’s post…… What are the pro’s and con’s of fitting your artwork into a box?
Pro’s:
Easier to promote yourself
Cohesive body of work
Easier to target specific markets relevant to your style or subject
Con’s:
Limits creativity
Limits markets
Creates a label which may be hard to break out of later
What else?

Alternative: Establish a personal style so unique that the subject matter becomes irrelevant. I think that you are well on your way to achieving that now.
Just allow your personal vision to dominate the subject and do not worry about categories.
That takes longer, but can be more satisfying in the end.
