Staying Organized
I think one of the things that prevents me from getting those post-show blues is a busy exhibition schedule. My idea’s of slowing down a bit this year have gone out the door. In fact, they’ve gone so far out the door I’m writing this post strictly as an attempt to keep myself organized and on track.
I have already got a list of shows and things I’ve already committed to do, or am applying to do. The list looks something like this…
- ASA Print Show, Lougheed House, Calgary starts March 10th
- Wayfarers & Sinners, Northern Alberta Jubilee, Edmonton starts around April 1st
- Print Show Demo, Lougheed House, Calgary on April 11th
- ASA’s New Members show, Lougheed House, Calgary starts April 25th
- Rocky Museum show, Rocky Mtn House May 26-29th
- Possible show in Banff, Alberta June to September
- Possible show in Edmonton June to July
- Calgary Stampede opens July 7th
- Possible show in Toronto July
- Open Studio tour, Rocky Mtn House, July 16-18th
Besides all that I’m waiting to hear from two Alberta galleries about submissions for solo exhibitions. There’s also likely going to be one more group exhibition for the ASA before summer is over.
I wanted to be able to take a week long photo tour to Saskatchewan this Spring to photograph the bird migration again. Depending on weather that would need to happen in April. It isn’t looking like it will be possible to be away that long this year. The other trip I’m working on will be to Sullivan Bay a remote location in the Broughton Archipelago of BC probably in August.
